Acer’s programs for 2010 are no more a secret. Apart from notebook computer and the rest of the stuff we got used to discover from Acer, they’re processing on an e-book reader, a tablet computing machine, an application store and Chrome OS ready netbooks. We can not wait for all of this lot. Instantly although we can bind our restlessness with some fresh information pulled out from Jim Wong’s recent interview.

Most of Acer goodies, as it turns out, will be useable in the second half of 2010. Several products, specifically, Chrome OS netbooks will start shipping in early Q3 ready and waiting for the OS to come out. Acer plans to sell one million of netbooks by the end of the year. This number is measured from average expected gross sales pct form the total amount of Acer computers gross sales, so it should be pretty close. One million sounds truthful to me as long as they keep costs under Windows 7 Starter enabled netbooks. And this is really probable although we can not say for certain because hardware in use is unknown.
