Motorola now is placing two new smartphones to bet on the open source Android operating system. They are Backflip and Devour. Backflip has unique design and it’s sold through AT&T wireless while Devour is available on Verizon Wireless.
Backflip and Devour has MOTOBLUR which can be a big selling point since it has an ability to flip the keyboard backward. The device can be also set up in tabletop mode for listening to the music, looking at videos and photos, or acting as a digital alarm clock. It has 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus ability and LED flash. The browser gives you a full HTML and AT&T’s Backtrack. By the backtrack you have a new way to scroll through the web, text, emails, and news feeds.
MOTOBLUR will be the special thing of Motorola which differentiate Backflip and Devour from other devices. Both Backflip and Devour provides you a social networking service. It streams the user’s messages, posts, tweets, pictures and contact. Thus, you don’t need to open multiple applications at once. Even you can send broadcast messages to many friends at once through multiple apps. Whenever you need the social information, you can get it automatically since it is delivered to be customizable, the live widgets on the home screen, where Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter are synced together.
